Warrior I This is a bit of a back bend. Hips are squared to the front. Heels are lined up. Front leg is bent with the knee over the ankle. The back leg is strong & straight. The back heel may need to be supported on a prop as you learn this pose. Elongate through the waist & pull your heart upward. Press the outer edge of the back foot to the earth. |

Warrior II This is an amazing hip opening pose. It tones the muscles of the thighs and gluteals. Front knee is bent and back leg is straight. Align front heel with arch of the back foot. Drop your shoulders & float your shoulders over your hips.This pose also garners your power of concentration. Direct your gaze over the middle fingernail.

Dancer Start with a strong base. Grasp the right inner ankle with the right hand. Lift and find your edge in the pose.

Standing Big Toe Hold Stand in Mountain pose and slowly begin to shift your weight into the balancing leg. Grasp your big toe with the "peace" fingers and lift your knee in front of you. Straighten the leg and open the hip as you draw your leg to the right side. |
