"I have been practicing yoga for 5 years, the past year has been at Namaste Studio. Jane uses her knowledge and understanding of the human body to allow each individual to move into the pose at their own level to gain the ultimate benefits yoga has to offer: strength/flexibility/balance, necessities of a good healthy life, especially as we age!"

Paraphrased from “The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali”
Whether we choose to practice yoga and interpret it’s benefits within the framework of a conventional set of religious beliefs is up to us. Some people do, some don’t. Yoga itself is neutral. It is a catalyst that allows us to grow in whatever direction is natural and life supporting. It’s methods work on the physical seat of consciousness, the nervous system, and, as far as yoga is concerned one nervous system is no different than another. Each obeys the same laws that govern the operations of mind and body. Whoever practices yoga will be enlivened in his or her own way.

"I took Prenatal Yoga at Namaste once a week throughout my entire pregnancy. I truly feel it was one of the most beneficial things I could've done ... Jane's class helped me to maintain my strength and flexibility, and I believe it helped prevent the typical back pain and other physical discomforts pregnancy can bring. I attended Jane's regular classes before the pregnancy, and I plan to continue---her punch-card system, which lets you drop-in for any scheduled class whenever you are able, makes attending class flexible and easy (which is especially needed with a new baby!).

When I'm in "relaxation" at the end of class, I know I want to practice yoga for at least the next 20 years. The Namaste studio is so calming and I leave feeling renewed.
